Mortgage Charity Single “Take Me Home” Released

14.12.18

Our very own Coreco Brand Director, Andrew Montlake has helped to write and release a Charity Single raising awareness and funds for the charity End Youth Homelessness.

The song “Take Me Home” is OUT NOW and we think it is catchy, uplifting tune for a great cause and a worthy Xmas No 1. The song reached No. 2 in Amazon Hot New Releases yesterday and has been released on iTunes today.

It was written by Monty and Landbay Managing Director of Intermediaries Paul Brett and is about being homeless at Christmas, a reality for a growing number of young people, delivered in a way that conveys hope and optimism for the future.

Proceeds from the song will go to End Youth Homelessness (EYH), the same charity that Mortgage Sleep Out raised £100,000 for last month when more than a thousand people slept on the streets.

Take Me Home was recorded earlier this month by a band made up of people within the mortgage industry under the name M.I.C. (Mortgage Industry Collective), featuring Paul and Andrew plus Kit Thompson (Brightstar), Howard Levy (SPF), Amanda Fenner (HSBC) and Andy Rowe (Computershare). Coreco Senior Broker David Tinsley also features on the track.

The song was recorded at a Band Aid style event at the famous Powerstudio in London, under the direction of legendary music producer Benny D, who has worked with a host of top names including Stormzy, Boy George, Kylie, Plan B, Robbie Williams, Paloma Faith and Depeche Mode. The project has also had assistance from musical director Jenny Deacon, the amazing Sweet Charity 20-piece Choir and many different people across the mortgage industry who have all donated their time and their talent to the project.

The single itself can be bought or streamed:

Monty said, “This whole journey has been simply amazing, challenging, emotional and uplifting. We can’t say thank you enough for all the good feeling and support, from our brilliant bandmates, everyone who took time out to appear on the song, the Sweet Charity Choir and to the amazing Benny D who lived up to his legendary status and then some. He taught us all so much, believed in us and what we were doing and helped all the singers deliver their very best performance.

“Lots of people talk about doing something like this and we are lucky enough to have been able to produce something like Take Me Home, which means so much to everyone involved.

“It’s now our turn to remember why we did this and make sure we support those who need our help, for whom sleeping out every night is not a choice. Please let’s donate as much as we can to support this song, to keep awareness of the issues in the public and political eyes, and, in conjunction with the Mortgage Sleep Out and some of the other amazing initiatives, to help try to End Youth Homelessness.”
