Coreco MPS is a franchise of Coreco Group LTD, one of the UK’s most prominent and respected mortgage brokerage firms. Having spent 10 years with Coreco Group Tom Matthews co-founded Coreco MPS with close friend and business partner Jan Pearce.

With more than 15 years experience in the mortgage industry, Tom and Jan bring a wealth of knowledge to the company with a central tenet of putting the client first and offering an unrivalled professional, yet personable service.

TOM

Tom has been in the mortgage industry since 2007 and has built an enviable reputation for providing expert and friendly advice to his clients. At the age of 24 Tom was named the best young broker (under 30) in the mortgage industry by the British Mortgage Awards. At 27 he went one further to be named the best overall broker in the UK by the same prestigious British Mortgage Awards.

Tom has cultivated a loyal client bank and can advise on all mortgage and financing needs. Every client receives the same dedicated service. The phrase ‘above and beyond’ is simply the norm.

Over the years Tom has advised on loans from £40,000 to £300,000,000.

Outside of mortgages Tom has a passion for property refurbishment and development and uses his own experiences to help guide clients wishing to embark on their own property projects, be that a single property refurbishment or multi-unit development scheme.

Jan Pearce

JAN

Jan joined the mortgage industry after a successful career in the IT Services industry, where he built a strong reputation for providing exceptional customer service. Shortly after making the jump to Financial Services, Jan quickly refined his skills to provide astute and friendly advice to his clients. Going on to win national recognition by being awarded Top Academy Adviser by Mortgage Advice Bureau soon after becoming a licenced Mortgage Broker.

After cutting his teeth in the industry and learning from some of the best advisers in the business, Jan has built a solid foundation and has worked with an array of clients. In successive years he has been named the Outstanding Performer and then Top Adviser at the annual Coreco Group awards. He brings with him his moto of ‘going the extra mile’ which has manifested into many happy clients and multiple positive Trustpilot reviews.

When the workday is done, Jan can be found enjoying a kickabout in his local park, spending time with friends, planning his next trip away or seeking tickets to see his favourite bands.

JENNY

Jenny is the glue that binds the company. Since joining Tom and Jan in 2019 Jenny has become an integral and indispensable member of the team. Jenny is on hand to ensure each property purchase or refinance progresses smoothly from application to completion, liaising with all parties from the outset and throughout.

Away from mortgages Jenny loves spending time with friends & family, holidaying to new places, and trips to home stores – (she’s that girl that goes in for one thing and comes out with way more!).

 

HANNAH

Hannah is a city girl with country at her heart. From the Garden of England itself she resides in Kent, enjoying regular dog walks along the North Downs and taking in the views.
Being passionate about financial literacy made the financial services industry a confident career transition in 2020, and she is currently training to become an advisor whilst working as a paraplanner with Coreco MPS.

Outside of her role at Coreco MPS, Hannah is a gym enthusiast and loves being at her peak fitness regularly playing tennis, going for a dip, or running at weekends or after work. If she’s not at the gym she’s got her nose in a book, walking the footsteps of Kings and Queens around one of Kent’s many castles, or playing a bit of piano.

Our client, a senior investment banker, was looking to purchase a new residential home in central London for £4,000,000 and had in excess of a 40% deposit. The property he wished to purchase was a 4-storey apartment in a traditional building. The apartment had been merged from two smaller apartments and there were still two leasehold titles in place, not one to cover the full property. We sourced a leading high street lender who was able to lend against both titles at 60% LTV on a 5 year fixed rate of 1.78%.

Our client, a UK resident, was looking to upsize his current home. He worked for a Belgian company on a fixed term contract basis via his UK Limited Company. He took modest drawings from his business to maintain tax efficiency and his most recent years profits were reduced due to business investment. The contract was denominated in Euro’s meaning he fell foul of the majority of UK lenders who could consider him on a ‘Contractor Mortgage’ basis. We were able to place him with a High Street lender, at near market leading rates, who accepted his income was paid in Euros and were able to take the full value of the contract rate into account for mortgage affordability and income multiple purposes.

Coreco MPS assisted with the refinancing of a residential mortgage from a Private Bank to a High Street Lender. A mortgage of £2,750,000 was secured against a property valued at £3,750,000 on a partial interest only basis at a 5 year fixed rate of 1.52% over a 25 year term.

Our client, a portfolio landlord, had a single facility in place against three multi-unit freehold buildings in South East London, each valued at £1,200,000. His current pricing was in excess of 5% per annum. We were able to refinance each building on an individual mortgage basis at 75% loan-to-value on a 5 year fixed rate at 3.05% with a modest lender arrangement fee. Along with the higher LTV and lower rate this allowed for more flexibility should he wish to divest one of the assets in the future.
